Site description

The ESR Tor Vergata station is located on the roof of ISAC building in the CNR Research Area of Tor Vergata. It is a semi ruralsite about 14 km SE of Rome. The prevalent wind circulation is forced by sea breeze (from west to south-west) in spring and summer, transporting maritime aerosols by advection, and by larger scale circulation during autumn and winter (northly). Strong desert dust events can be recorded along the year, particularly intense during spring and summer seasons. The site can be affected by small rural fires from the fields arround.

The site is temporary operative for campaigns
