The ESR Rome station is located on the roof of the Physics Department building of the University La Sapienza.
It is located in the historical centre of the town, and no obstruction was done by adjacent buildings allowing
a 360 degree view of the town. For its location this site perfect for the study of urban aerosol.
The prevalent wind circulation is forced by sea breeze (from west to south-west) in spring and summer,
transporting maritime aerosols by advection, and by larger scale circulation during autumn and winter (northly).
Strong desert dust events can be recorded along the year, particularly intense during spring and summer seasons.
